How to read these guides
Each guide is written the same way, and deliberately not like a listing. It opens with where the home actually sits and how you get to it — the road, the gate, the last kilometre — because on this coast that is the thing most likely to surprise people. Then the house through a day: which rooms catch the morning, where everyone ends up at six, what the nights sound like. Then who it genuinely suits, and who it does not.
What you will not find is a rate. Prices move with the season, the group size and how long you stay, and a number frozen into a page is a number that will be wrong by the time you read it. Where a home has a genuine drawback — a steep approach, construction next door, no dryer, stairs that will not suit everyone, a pool with no fence — the guide says so plainly. That is the whole point of writing them.

Villa Costa Vida above Manuel Antonio, which sleeps thirty-four, or fifty-six taken together with its Villa Tower. On the Costa Ballena itself the largest is Casa Frenchie at eighteen guests across two houses, which can be combined with next-door Villa Vista del Mar for larger groups still.
What is the smallest?
Colores del Viento in the Escaleras jungle and Villa Roca above Ojochal both sleep six — the two homes most suited to a couple or a single family.
Which villas can I reach without a 4x4?

Can two families book neighbouring villas?
Yes, and several homes are set up for exactly that. Casa Frenchie and Villa Vista del Mar are next-door neighbours, and Casa Amigos is a couple of minutes away. Tell the team the shape of the group and they will suggest the pairing.

Are these homes managed by Pura Villas?
